Dates have been set and venues have been reserved for a potential fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr., but Dana White continues to strike everything down.
Without Dana White’s approval, this fight never happens and the two parties that may or may not be in talks, have a long way to go.
Dana White told TMZ Sports that fight between McGregor and Mayweather is “nowhere near being done.” and they are just as far apart since the beginning of any dialogue that took place. This comes out after Mayweather said he’s coming out of retirement to fight McGregor. Here is what Mayweather had to say.

“When I faced Arturo Gatti, I went to his turf,” Mayweather said. “He was the A side. I was the B side. I beat him. I didn’t cry. I didn’t complain. When I faced Oscar De La Hoya, he was the A side and I was the B side. I didn’t cry. I didn’t complain. I beat him and I became the A side.”
Mayweather went on and told McGregor and the UFC to make no more excuses.
“I don’t want to hear no more excuses about the money, about the UFC,” said Mayweather. “Sign the paper with the UFC so you can fight me in June. Simple and plain, let’s fight in June.”
